AFTER THE GRANDSTANDS ENTERTAINMENT - JOLIE BLUE

Jolie Blue sings of the common rural Saskatchewan Grain Farmer… The feuds with Viterra, The ups and downs of harvest, the amount you can get away with when the cops aren’t around, Jolie Blue lives the rural Saskatchewan life, and loves to share his take of it.

Born and raised in the RM of Eyebrow Saskatchewan, Jolie still lives there. Taking part in Seeding, Harvest, and leaving town for gigs whenever he can, Jolie has travelled Coast to coast, from Canada down to Belize. Jamming any dive bar with a broken down stage, and a music loving crowd he could find.

With strong Western Canadian roots, and that Dominion pride, Jolie lingers mostly around Western Canada, where his heart lies. Having recorded 2 Full Length Albums, 3 EP’s, and 4 singles, Jolie has spent much of his time playing gigs across Western Canada, and recording albums in Calgary mostly. (1 EP in Saskatoon & 1 EP in Boise Idaho)

Opening multiple times for Tim Hus & Quick Dick McDick respectively, Jolie has also had the privilege of recording with Billy McCinnis (fiddle player for Stompin’ Tom Connors) and Tom Moon (percussionist for Ian Tyson). Playing for crowds up to 300 attendees, to house concerts as small as 5 attendees, Jolie Blue just loves drinkin and jammin.

He’s won no awards for any organization, nor does he have any interest in sacrificing his root values to get ahead in the commercial music scene. Jolie Blue just likes to party, play songs, and chat about the agricultural and/or industrial situation of the location he is playing. Human to human. He just may however, write a song about something you said.

You’ll find Jolie Blue playing any fundraiser, backyard celebration, dive bar, church, or community event in the area, if he’s not forging his own next tour beyond the Western Canadian Prairies. The American South West and Central America are two other (less) favourite locations of his.

One thing is for sure, a live performance, or studio recording of Jolie Blue will have your toe tapping, your patriotism beaming, and leave you with a smile on your face.

Jolie has released 3 EP’s, 4 Singles, and 2 full length albums which can occasionally be heard on FM stations across Western Canada, and are also aviailable on all streaming platforms as well as YouTube.

AFTER THE GRANDSTANDS ENTERTAINMENT - JOHN KING

Always Gonna Be You, the full-length debut from chart-topping country songwriter John King, is an autobiographical album whose songs tell a universal story. For King, that story began in the Appalachian foothills of northern Georgia, where he worked construction jobs as a teenager and strummed his first songs around the campfire. He also began dating the woman who would later become his wife. Always Gonna Be You tells the story of that real-life romance, its songs brimming with details we've all experienced: the rush of a new relationship, the brink of a breakup, and the thrill of falling in love.

King's songs may be relatable, but his success is extraordinary. A Number 1 songwriter who penned Randy Houser's chart-topping hit "We Went" and Hootie and The Blowfish's "Rollin," King launched his solo career with "Tonight Tonight" — a Top 40 hit whose anthemic chorus was heard everywhere from country radio to the weekly NFL recaps on CBS — and earned his stripes as a road warrior, playing 150 shows annually for the better part of a decade. With Always Gonna Be You, he blurs the boundaries between genres, creating a modern-day country album that's diverse and driven. Call it a coming-of-age story, performed by a southern son whose twang is matched by his pop hooks.

He always loved music, but became serious about writing and performing after his hockey career ended due to an injury and the loss of one of his best friends from an automobile accident.
